The Broken Group are a diffuse chain of islands and islets off Vancouver Island’s west coast. The islands are a favourite destination of kayakers, campers and nature enthusiasts and offer a chance to see much of the areas wildlife in their natural habitat.

The Broken Group has a rich and ancient history dating back thousands of years. Archeological digs have revealed the importance of these islands to the Tseshaht First Nation. According to Tseshaht legend the first man and first woman were created at Benson Island, one of the outer Broken Group islands.
