Long Beach, BC, is the most accessible unit of Pacific Rim National Park.
Each year, thousands of visitors flock to its miles of pristine, sandy beach and championship surfing. Despite its popularity you never feel crowded at Long Beach—it’s the perfect place to bring your blanket and book and drift off to the sounds of the surf.
Long Beach includes 16 km (10 miles) of sandy beach in Wickaninnish Bay. It is mid-way between Ucluelet and Tofino on Vancouver Island’s west coast. Long Beach’s famous surf has made it one of Vancouver Island’s surfing hot spots. And it’s seemingly endless shores are the perfect place for a long walk on the beach.

In Wickaninnish Bay on Long Beach you will find the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre. The centre is run by Parks Canada and offers fascinating exhibits on the nature and culture of the Pacific Rim.
After exploring the beach, stop in at the Wickaninnish Restaurant in the interpretive centre—the restaurant boasts uninterrupted views of the ocean and features one of the best menus in the area.
